Restoring Lives: Rebuilding Hope for Animals Affected by War

CAMPAIGNS > RESTORING LIVES

We invite you to join us in significantly impacting the lives of animals affected by the devastating consequences of the Russian aggression in Ukraine. Through our extensive charitable program, we aim to address the urgent needs of animal shelters, provide comprehensive care for stray animals, and promote a society that values compassion and animal welfare. Your support can bring about a positive change in the lives of innocent creatures suffering from war.
The Environmental Toll: The toll of the Russian aggression extends beyond human lives and has left an indelible mark on the environment. Forests have been reduced to ashes, buildings lie in ruins, and mines have been flooded. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy highlighted the severity of the situation during a video address to the G20 summit in Bali. His words echo the urgency of our cause as we work towards mitigating the environmental damage caused by war.

The Plight of Animals: Amidst the chaos, animals have endured immense suffering. Shockingly, approximately 6 million pets lost their lives as a result of the Russian aggression, according to official figures. The Black Sea, once a vibrant ecosystem, witnessed the deaths of at least 50,000 dolphins due to the military conflict. The collateral damage also extended to farmland, with limited physical access to farms, disrupted supply chains, and the blackout leading to millions of poultry and livestock deaths.

Acts of Cruelty: The cruelty inflicted upon animals during war is heartbreaking. There have been distressing reports of deliberate killings, such as the case of 110 cows in the Chernihiv region, mercilessly gunned down by occupiers. Stables have been intentionally set ablaze, trapping horses inside and leaving them with no chance of escape. These acts of violence against innocent animals are a grim reminder of the urgent need for action—the Comprehensive Charitable Program.
